Another year in the books, 28 and counting, hard to believe, I know. I feel very blessed and fortunate to be able to continue doing this trip each fall with the same crew. On that note, our second mate could not make the trip this year unfortunately. All I'll say is going 25 miles per hour on a bicycle is asking for trouble, especially at our age. Kidding aside, I knew Roger was super bummed that he could not make it. Take care of that knee and we'll see you in the spring buddy!
Just me and Isla doing the chores this year I guess.The fall colors were coming in nicely and we had a weather forecast promising blue skies and typical fall temps. A couple nights were expected to be in the 30's but as you know we bring heat with us.

As you can see, we did indeed have bluebird skies and the air was crisp and clean
Coming out of the river and onto our lake, home away from home for the next 5 days.
